N. and I went to play group. We met at the Apple Store, where they have computers designated just for kids. The computers have games for kids, are lower to the ground, and have a fun chair that is shaped like a ball, but flat on the bottom. Anyways, N. enjoyed playing on the computer for about 10 minutes, then we wanted to move the chairs everywhere. He would try to pick them up even though they were bigger than him. It was quite a sight(sorry, no pictures). Then we went to a lunch at a place called Macbar, where they serve all kinds of macaroni and cheese. The place itself is shaped like a macaroni noodle and painted yellow. We got the classic macaroni and cheese, and it was delicious. After wards, we stopped by Eileen's Special Cheesecake, and got a mini cheesecake to take home and share with S. We had a good time!
Later that day, while N. took a nap, I walked down to Canal Street(S. was home:). Canal Street is in Chinatown, and is filled with tiny shops and vendors carrying touristy items, purses, t-shirts, luggage, perfume, scarfs, and other random stuff. It's also the main place to purchase knock-off purses and wallets from guys standing on the streets with luggage(they have the purses in the luggage, and you tell them what you're interested in, and they'll show you pictures for you to choose from; sometimes they have them displayed, but when police are around, it's all hidden--I know this b/c my friend Krystle bought a purse and wallet--I really don't care too much about designer stuff.) Anyways, I glanced around a ton of shops. There are no prices on anything, so you have to ask them and bargain--not really my kind of thing, but it was funny. I asked a guy how much an I heart NY shirt was(it was a fitted shirt, not a normal shirt), and he started off at 12, then 11, then 8, and when I walked away he said $5--best offer. I didn't end up getting it, b/c I really don't know if I wanted it, I was just curious about the price. Anyways, I ended up buying purse that is a dark teal color for $10. I really like it, and I've been searching for a cheap purse that's big enough to fit more than my wallet, phone, and keys. I only brought a little purse--the rest of them are packed in Texas somewhere!
We ate yummy homemade pizza for dinner--N. had his 1st slice of pizza, and enjoyed it. Then, I ended the day by finishing the new Nicholas Sparks book The Last Song, which was so good, but also so sad in parts!!!
