Times Square
So N. and I finally made it to the iconic Times Square this afternoon. There was so much to look at and take in. At one point, we just stopped in the middle of the plaza to do just that. We went to the Toys R Us, where we saw a ferris wheel, a life-like T-Rex, a Barbie playhouse, NYC sites made from Legos, and lots of TOYS! We also went to the Hershey's store--see post below, and stopped at a few gift shops along the way, where I finally bought some postcards. I loved the atmosphere of the area. We then went walking to try to find Build-a-Bear workshop, but apparently I wrote down the wrong streets, so we never did find it, but we did get a great view of the Chrysler building. We also walked to the New York Public Library--it looked like they were doing construction on most of the building, but we were still able to see the lion statues. I had planned on going in, but there were a lot of steps, and N. was getting whiny from being in his stroller, so we decided to call it a day, and ride the subway back home!

The ferris wheel(I couldn't get a good angle of the whole thing-it was too big, but this particular one looks like N.'s toy bus)

It's so much fun to read your blog and see where you are going. I'm so glad you have this fabulous opportunity (and a little jealous, too). I thought Times Square was pretty amazing---I had never seen so many people in one place before in my life.
ReplyDeleteNYC is pretty amazing. I'm really glad we have the chance to live here--it's definitely something I will always remember:)
