New York Botanical Gardens

Yesterday, we trekked up to the Bronx to the NY Botanical Gardens with Krystle(it's free on Wednesdays). We saw some beautiful flowers, plants and trees. Probably about half the park is devoted to what they call "The Forest," which is basically a naturally wooded forest that used to cover most of the NYC area. It really felt like you had escaped from the city. You heard the rustle of the trees and even a waterfall, which N. was entranced by(I think he liked the noise of it, b/c he cried when we turned around to leave). We even went a little 4-wheeling with N.'s stroller--we ended up on a path that was more like a rugged trail, and N. enjoyed all the bumps, twists, and tree roots while I got worn out from pushing him! Anyways it was so pretty...pictures don't do it justice, and I didn't take enough, but here are a few...
