Thrift Stores

I like to find good deals...I often in TX would hit up various thrift stores, Once Upon a Child, and the clearance section at Target for random finds for N. or myself. Well, NYC is known for its fashion--but oftentimes expensive fashion, but I have found a few thrift stores here worth visiting. Last week, I went to Cure Thrift Shop, and found 3 shirts for $1 a piece--they even looked brand new. I also found some incredibly comfy, but still cute, shoes for only$2. My right foot had been cramping up and hurting in the comfyiest pair of shoes I brought, but then I found these, and I consider them my little blessing--I love them, and they are great for walking everywhere!

I went to a kids thrift store today called Jane's Exchange. I found N. a pair of nice jeans for $2, fleece pants for $3, a pair of Robeez shoes for around the house($3), and a pair of much needed shoes for out and about($7.50)--on Sunday, his pinky toe was getting pinched in his shoe and he was not a happy camper, until we figured out what was wrong, and took off his shoes. I was happy with what I found and N. enjoyed himself too. At the kids thrift store, they had a play area with trains and a kitchen. He didn't want to leave when we were done!
