- He has learned to shake his head no. If he doesn't want something, he will shake his head back and forth. I'm not sure if I like this form of communication yet. He has also started throwing fits when something doesn't go his way. He plops down on the floor, takes a big breath, wails, puts his head down on the floor, and so on.
- He loves dogs. Whenever he sees one when we're walking, he will start this silly barking sound, and gets so excited. If the dog passes us and is behind us, he will turn around as far as he can in his stroller to see it.
- He loves cheerios. Our cheerios are up on top of the fridge, and you can constantly find him reaching up to the fridge throughout the day. Yesterday, we ran out, so we walked to the store to get some. He kept reaching for the box at the store, so I let him carry the box home. He looked quite funny in his stroller holding this huge box of cheerios. He held it the whole way home, and got some smiles from people along the way.
- He loves books, but especially Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Dr. Seuss's ABC, both of which have a rhythm to them when you read it. When he brings either book to me, he comes bopping his head up and down--it's cute!
- He has a transportation puzzle(seen below--thanks melody). He loves it! He woke up from his nap the other day, and when he saw it sitting on his dresser, he said car! Sometimes though, he gets a bit frustrated b/c he has a hard time putting the pieces back, so he whines, until you do it for him. When he does do it on his own, he immediately starts clapping!
- The other day at dinner, he grabbed his spoon that was sitting on his plate, and was playing with it. I thought, well maybe he should try feeding himself with a spoon. I would help him put the food on it, then he would put it in his mouth. It was so cute watching him, and he did so good. I would clap for him when he made it to his mouth, and you could tell he was so proud of himself--Whenever he tried, he would have this cute little grin on his face. It was so adorable.
