Wow--Do I really have a child old enough to be baptized? Where does time go? I'm grateful for N.'s decision and excitement about being baptized and making his very own covenants with Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for tender mercies that allowed his baptism to happen on the day we had originally planned with family members coming from out of town. When we scheduled it, we had assumed baby C. would come early like the rest of her brothers, but then we kept waiting and waiting, and finally we said as long as she comes on her due date, and there are no complications, we will still have it as scheduled. Well, she came on her due date, and so exactly 1 week later, N. was baptized. It was a very special day, filled with the Spirit, and N.'s sweet, shy, happy smile. When he was baptized, I felt the Spirit so strongly confirming to me that he made the right choice, that this Gospel is true, and that I will do all I can to live my baptismal covenants I made when I was 8 and help N. keep his. I was also grateful for my sweet friend, Cindy, for being there to share with N.'s day. I knew it would be hard for her, but I needed her there for me and N., and was grateful for her sweet hugs to make the day perfect. Her son, Atticus, N.'s buddy, was looking down from heaven smiling. I'm also grateful for the family that came to support N. and help me out as I was just recovering from having a brand new baby and for an amazing husband who was able to baptize N. and help with all of our family coming over. It was a day I will never forget. N. says it was the best day of his whole life and the happiest he has ever felt!
