This was my Grandma with me when I was little...
Here's one of her with my Grandpa, my mom, and her sisters...
Baby C. arrived early afternoon weighing 7lbs 3 oz after being in labor for about 7 or so hours. I was able to have her naturally like I've had the others...we did walk many, many laps around the hospital floor to help speed it up--S.'s phone said we walked over 8 miles...so Go me!--walking 8 plus miles through contractions--to say the least I was exhausted by the end. The last hour or so was super intense, and all the sudden, I felt the need to push...they got me on the bed, grabbed the midwife (at the hospital), and within 1 contraction, sweet girl was here. As they were cutting the cord and all that, I turned to S., and said, "it's really a girl, right?" He replied yes, and I didn't realize you doubted so much...I may have made a pink nursery, bought plenty of bows and girly clothes, but I didn't actually believe it was happening until she was here. The first week or two, she was called he, bud, and dude a ton...but now we got it down. We are truly blessed!
Fireworks from our hospital room...
First night or two of sleep at the hospital is always rough...
Didn't like the bow!
Going home...
