His school picture--I wasn't planning on buying them (hairs not done and he's wearing a baseball t-shirt), but S. found out after when they sent home a tiny sample, and said we had to buy his first school picture!

Last day of kindergarten!
This was taken at kindergarten graduation by his friend's mom---n.'s eyes are actually open and he looks so handsome.
His birthday---he requested a yellow and blue cake for the raiders!
He got Mack from Cars for his birthday--he's been wanting one for a really long time. His best bud Atticus, had one and he always talked about having one like Atticus'. Mack slept with him for the first month he had it, and would watch movies on the couch with him too.
A bit about our N. at 6 ( I really can't believe we have a 6 year old!)*Loves his brothers--always giving them hugs and kisses--him and P. play so well together and have so much fun. It was a huge blessing to have N. home to help entertain P. all summer. P. misses him now that school has started.
*Is reading! Is enjoying some easy chapter books on his own and likes to go to bed with a flashlight and a book! He reads all kinds of things, and at first it was odd for me to hear him reading from food packages around the house or signs around town. Loved reading over the summer to P. and especially loved Eric Carle books.
*In kindergarten, they had handwriting practice a few times a week. He became a perfectionist at it, every letter had to be just right, and took forever. His teacher tried to work with him to help speed him up and not freak out if it wasn't perfect. Over the year, he got faster, but was so ready to be done with it by the end of the year. He had great handwriting on his worksheets, but that doesn't translate so well to him writing random stuff around the house--he gets a bit sloppy.
*When I was prego with E., he would always kiss my tummy. He's very affectionate-always giving hugs and kisses, sometimes a bit too affectionate, but I guess I should enjoy it while I can! He often gives wet goodnight kisses after he takes a cold drink of water.
*He loves to watch movies--during the school year, he could watch one on Saturdays, and during the summer, we watched one most afternoons. He especially loves Cars, Planes, Monsters, Inc, the Incredibles, & Frozen.
*He got a bike for Christmas, and I feel bad that we don't get around to ride it a ton, but he would always sit on it in the garage and pedal back and forth a bit when he got home from school.
*He loves to "run fast." He keeps his arms super straight out in front of him and thinks certain shoes make him faster.
*Is always singing primary songs around the house--especially (The Family is of God)--we call it God gave us families!
*He loves playing with Cars from the Cars movies and planes from Disney's Planes.
*He loves playing with Aunt McKenna and his cousins.
*He loves playing games--spends most of his time at Oma's playing games with any willing aunt, uncle, or grandparent. He's legitimately wins a lot of the games:)
*Loves to get frozen yogurt--he typically chooses strawberry and some other flavor, with m&m's, skittles, gummy bears, and a big gummy frog that just gets hard and chewy (but he loves it).
*Eats macaroni and cheese every sunday for lunch or dinner--has been doing that since he was 2, but that's the only day of the week I'll let them have it:)
*Definitely has the occasional meltdown (mainly due to to being tired), and can be quite ornery and rude to his parents especially at bedtime and when he doesn't like what we're having for dinner or doesn't want to clean up
*Loves to wear our town and school t-shirts all of the time--if he doesn't have one clean, he'll want to wear at least a shirt with raider colors (blue & yellow).
*Did really great in kindergarten--all of his teachers say he's sweet, helpful, and is always doing the right thing.
I can't believe how grown up he is-- we were watching some family videos of him when he was a baby--so cute, so tiny, but so interesting to see his little personalities and looks then and how they translate to now. He is a sweet, helpful boy, who really wants to do what is right and good. I'm grateful he is my oldest--he will be a great example to his brothers as they grow. He loves his brothers and family so much, and we love him.
