N. started 1st grade! He was a bit nervous and wasn't quite ready for school to start because he wanted to play, but once he got back into the swing of things, he loves being back in school with his friends, and especially loves art, PE, and recess!

When he first got to his classroom, there was play-doh at his seat, and he almost had a meltdown because he didn't know what he was supposed to do with it(he wants to do everything just right at school)--I was like, just make whatever you want, but he didn't believe me at first--notice the stinker-bug face below...
P.'s first day of preschool with our favorite teacher Mrs. Cherry (N. also had her when he was 3)! He was so excited to go, went right in, talked all his teacher's ears off, and had a great day. He has quite a few friends from church in his class, but kept asking for his friend, Ty, from preschool last year--sadly, he goes on opposite days this year, but maybe next year, they'll get to play. He loves home center, pretend play, playing in the gym and being outside. He's starting to learn his letters and sounds, and comes home singing songs about them. He is also learning about famous artists and talks about Monet and his waterlillies a lot.

He talked my ear off the whole way home from school--I love hearing all he has to say!
