our pumpkin...

S. carved his 1st pumpkin 7 years ago when we were newlyweds, and we haven't carved one since until today, when N. got to experience his 1st pumpkin carving.  N. and I have been reading this pumpkin book from the library that shows different kinds of pumpkin faces, so I had him pick which one he wanted and he picked the kitty cat.  So here it is...

 

 S. did most of the work scooping and carvning.  N. was very curious at first, but then...

 

he wasn't so sure...

 

we got him to touch one seed, but he adamantly refused to put his hand inside the pumpkin to help scoop...

 

he was disinterested while S. carved it and started playing with his cars...

 

but when we lit it up and it was finished he loved it!
