N. going-ons

N. is obsessed with trains right now.  He calls them "choo-choo".  I checked out a Thomas the Tank Engine movie from the library, which he's always asking to watch.  He also loves an Elmo book called the Train Station, but most of all, he loves the subway.  Whenever we are walking around the city, he always spots the subway stations, points, and says choo-choo as loud as he can.  On the occasion that we do take the subway, he gets so excited and is looking all around him and saying choo-choo over and over again.

He has become interested in letters and numbers.  He can count to three with me, and he loves playing with his magnetic letters and reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.  He always points to the letters and wants to know what they are called.  Now, whenever he pulls out the "m", he says mama.  By the elevator in our building, there's a big letter G.  Every time, we get to the elevator, I start singing the ABCs, and he always sings the G when it's time.

N.'s learned quite a few new words this past month--some he says really clearly, others kind of sound like the word:)  New words include: tractor, pizza, peas, bib, sit, up, jump, book, cheerio, kix(kind of cereal), bye, tissue, boat, bread, chair, boom-boom, car, apple, prayer, amen, baby, mouth, belly, hug, diaper, and spoon(I've been trying to write down words as he learns them, so I don't forget).  He also babbles the name Aubrey over and over again--which is ironic because S.'s brother is marrying Aubrey in a few weeks:)

Anyways, I feel like he is growing up before my eyes.  He is such a happy boy, and we are always laughing together!
