MoMA

S. flew to Dallas this morning for his brother's wedding, so to keep busy, N. and I went to MoMA--The Musuem of Modern Art.  Admission is free from 4-8 on Friday nights, so that made of course for a long line, but N. and I lucked out.  We got to the entrance about 3:40 and had to walk around the entire block to get to the end of the line.  We waited for a little while and N. enjoyed lots of snacks before it started moving at about 3:55.  Once we got through about 2/3rds of the line, a man working the line asked me to step to the side with my baby "carriage".  He then handed me a ticket and told me to go directly to the front--it saved us at least 10 or so minutes of waiting which is precious time when you want your toddler to be happy sitting in his stroller and looking at art:)  Anyways, a really cool museum.  I really liked the Piet Mondrian pieces, as did N.  I think he liked the colors and all the shapes.  I also enjoyed the Monet Waterlilies exhibit, while N. also liked a sculpture made up of little cubes.  He kept pointing to it--he probably thought they were blocks or toys.  After looking at all the art, we made our way into the sculpture garden where there were fountains.  N. has fallen in love with fountains since we went to the Met (there's one a few blocks up from us that we see walking that he always points to and wants to stop at).  He even threw a penny into it this time (last time I had no coins).

Anyways a fun day...I think now it's a "What Not To Wear" night paired with ice cream and maybe some Jane Austen, since the hubby's gone.

I finally caught his beautiful and big smile on camera 2 times...
