Some random things we've been up to...

I went to the ballet again.  Basically, It was my Valentine's Day present from S., and he stayed home with N., while I went with a friend.  Tickets were sold through NYU to residents of the law student housing.  We saw Swan Lake, which was danced beautifully.  We were also able to receive a tour of the theater, go backstage, and go on stage by a dancer from the company.  He also answered any questions and told us about their typical day as a dancer.  They have practice and rehearsal from 10:30-6, and then have the performance from 8-11pm, 6 days a week.  He also told us that most of the ballerinas go through 2 point shoes on a typical day.  Anyways, a very fun night on the town.

For President's Day, we went to the New York Historical Society Museum with Krystle and Tally.  They had an exhibit all about Lincoln, as well as tons of artifacts and objects about the history of New York and the founding of our country.  My favorite probably was a Noah's ark toy that had every possible animal carved out of wood and painted to go with it--there were seriously probably 200 animals.

We all got much needed haircuts.  I was sick of mine and realized I hadn't got it cut since my birthday when N. was a newborn, so it was about time.  I like my new cut, but I always have to get used to the side-swept bangs. (not the best pics of us, but we were trying to capture the hair cuts and N. was not cooperating)

Last, some women from church hosted a craft night in which we made button earrings from fabric.  I think they turned out pretty cute.
