I bought him some bubbles last week, and ever since he's been obsessed. That's also his new favorite word. The other night, he practically begged me for bubbles at bed time. He said it over and over again in this pleading kind of way--it was so cute, and he said the word so well that I couldn't resist, so we blew bubbles and went to bed late.
He's a little bit late as far as talking goes, but here are some of the words he can say clearly: bubbles, balloon, ball, cheese, bagel, duck, keys, dog, mama, hot, and bye-bye(he only said it once). He also has his own words or sounds for the following things: car(vrrm), blocks/box(ah), lights(o-for on and off, he likes to turn the switch on/off), snack(da), and pig(he breathes in through his nose), and spends most the day jibber-jabbering.
Most of the time, I give N. a cup of snacks while we grocery shop to keep him occupied and happy in his stroller. Now, the minute we arrive at any store, N. says da as loud as he can, which is his version of snack.
Whenever N. spills cheerios or crumbs, he runs to the kitchen, and gets the mini broom and dust pan from the cabinet, and attempts to sweep them up.
N. is really such a sweet and happy boy. He's always smiling. He always waves and smiles to the doorman downstairs. One of them in particular is so sweet to him and gives him goldfish about once a week. Whenever we go check the mail, she talks to him and makes him smile, which brings me to another point--N. loves playing in the lobby and running down the hallways. He gets this grin on his face, makes this happy sound, and then makes a break for it. He also loves to check the mail--he puts the key in on his own, and waves at others that are checking their mail. Today when we left to go check the mail, he grabbed his backpack and wanted to wear it--to me, he looks so grown up.
So really, Noah can say "hot mama" - not bad for 19 months!
