P. at 22 months

I was trying to record him saying basketball--he apparently thought there was a ball on my phone, because he kept trying to see the screen.

• Obsessed with balls----always has a ball in his arms--when it's time to go somewhere, he always runs and finds the ball that he wants to take with us.  They're lots of melt-downs around here when I don't let him take a ball to the store, or wherever it is we're going.  He also is known to scream the whole way somewhere because he has thrown his ball and can't get it.  He has just learned the word "basketball" and it's so cute to hear him say it.  He is very good at kicking, throwing, and slam dunking!
• Taking after his brother--P. loves trains.  He has figured out how to connect wooden trains and how to make N.'s remote control geotrax tains go.  He loves to make the train whistle sound and drive the trains through tunnels 
• Popcorn popping--Loves this song--does his hands like popcorn whenever he wants me to sing it, which is all the time
• cutest phrase he says is "Oh no"--the other day S. was leaving for work, and the kids were waving goodbye--as soon as he started pulling away Peter kept saying "oh no, dada"
• He's a bit dramatic.
• Loves to wrestle with N.
• Is no longer sleeping in his sleepsack--he kept chewing on the top and the zipper would come apart.  Now I get him cozy with his blanket.  He always sleeps on his tummy, using his dogs and giraffe as pillows.  In the morning, he is always saying oh, no because his blanket came off.
• Loves dada--the first thing he does in the morning is say dada and head off to find him.  Yesterday, S. left before he woke up, and he was sad.  Later in the day, he kept saying dada, dada, and then N. so kindly said, "I'm sorry P. that you miss dada, dada left before you got up, but you'll see him later."
• Likes to color and is always being me marker lids to be opened--most of the time, he will stay sitting at their coloring table, but I'm waiting for the day when there is marker all over the place
• Does well in nursery at church, loves other kids
• Has a handsome sweet smile that makes everyone think he's sweet as pie, but I know the truth behind that sweet smile is a dramatic tantrum throwing almost 2 year old that I love dearly:)
• Loves the movie Cars
