At the pool, P. became a bit obsessed with wearing this bucket on his head. In no way could I convince him to wear his real hat, but he wouldn't take off the bucket, and would scream when anyone would try to take it to play with it. I think he has a funny sensory thing with putting things on his head since having his helmet--he loves putting toys and food on his head, but not hats:)
So, he's a mischievous little stinker-bug and picky-pants. He had been eating toast with PB and jam, but then he wouldn't eat that anymore. I was eating my sandwich, and he was eyeing it for sure, so I figured, what the heck, let him have it and see if he would eat it that way. Well, he was so excited about getting my sandwich, and he ate the whole thing, and has been eating regular PB sandwiches ever since. I love this mischievous face:)
Other things about P.- Let's just say, he's whiny, dramatic, quick to cry and scream, and definitely makes me think twice about having another one--I'm not ready yet, but hopefully there is a girl in our (distant) future
- He also has the most awesome smile, both real and cheeser.
- He is walking everywhere now and is quite proud of his new skill. He has been walking lugging the little people bus in his arms, instead of pushing it on the floor. At the park, the other day, he just walked up and down the sidewalk over and over.
- He loves bath-time...he's usually a complete grump by the time bath-time rolls around, but as soon as he hears that water, that frown is flipped upside down, and he makes a beeline to the bathroom.
- At hobby lobby, I was looking at Christmas ornaments, and he kept saying ball, over and over, and was so excited.
- Loves to push around his ride-on racer
- Loves doing anything N. is doing, always asks for N. when I come get him in the morning or after naptime
- Loves phones, and today somehow found S.'s new iphone and was walking around the house with it (which would be why we both have otterbox cases for our phones;)
- Throws things when he's done--multiple times will throw his cup at meals, snack-cups at the store from the cart, his book when he's done reading it, etc
- Loves playing at friends' houses and exploring other kids toys, but gets bored easily at home, even though we have tons more toys now than when N. was this age
- Has a shy look...when someone says hello, he looks down, and then maybe he'll smile
- Loves bananas--he gets so excited when he sees it, therefore do not show it to him or let him see it before it's time to eat it
At the mall play area today (a special reward for N. doing excellent at the dentist), P. found another boys balloon (and the nanny was very gracious and let P. play with it), and had a blast. He walked around for a good 30 minutes just carrying it around smiling and jabbering.
