I'm so blessed to have such a sweet baby sister McKenna. N. adores her, looks up to her, and has learned so much from her. We were lucky enough to have her come stay with us while my mom went to girls camp with church. She stayed four days with us. She got homesick a few times, but my dad came up one day and took us all for ice cream. N. and her played so well. Only one time was N. acting a little mean and falling apart, but after a nap, he was a million times better and fine the rest of the week. They totally "destroyed" the house--by that I mean pulled out every toy and moved it somewhere else and used it in some creative way. It took us a few hours after she left to get everything back in its place. They played church and house--they had their home in the living room with beds for them and their animals, had a timer, and when the timer went off they walked into the playroom for church, where they both sat in chairs and sang primary songs. They would do different things each day of their make-believe week. They planned a birthday party for P. with invitations, a puppet show, and presents. P. followed them around non-stop. We went and played at the park, ate dinner at chick-fil-a, went to the library, played in the kiddie pool outside, listened to lots of music, read lots of books--it's nice that she can read to N., painted, and played lots and lots! My boys are sooooo lucky to have Aunt McKenna--she provides hours of entertainment and fun.
Art project--McKenna painted a very elaborate zoo with a
combo of watercolors, markers, stamps, crayons, and pencils.
Listening to music...
