N.'s Easter Party @ School--started with an Easter egg hunt, then lunch (nuggets from Chik-fil-a), and Easter cookies! N.'s a pokey little puppy when it comes to Easter egg hunts, and only got a couple eggs, but they sorted them all out while the kids had lunch:)
His sweet class...
Easter Sunday...We went to church and then did baskets at home later. N. got these four puzzles--he loves puzzles--I also have the hardest time getting a picture of him with his eyes open.
P. and his basket...
N. kept saying Mom, "why does P. have a girl one." I finally realized he thought it was a princess crown--silly goose! But of course, N. had to try it on and turn it into a hat.
I actually cooked an Easter dinner for the first time. I cooked a honey glazed ham, twice baked potatoes, carrots, and rolls. We had raspberry lemonade cupcakes for dessert--that didn't quite turn out--the frosting was a weird texture and the cupcakes were more like a dense muffin:) The ham turned out really good and all the boys ate it--I think it's the first meal I've cooked that everybody has eaten. N. doesn't usually like ham, but P. tried it, so N. decided too as well, and they all ate a ton. My sister was supposed to come the following morning, but decided to drive in early and made it to our house so we spent Easter evening with her and her two sweet girls.
We tried to have an Easter party with friends at our place, but had to cancel last minute. Instead of hunting eggs and eating treats, we were instead doing this...
that's right--there's a toilet in the background--we were hunkered down in the bathroom due to tornadoes and severe storms all afternoon. Thank goodness for computers so I could watch the weather while hanging out in the bathroom with the maniacs. Also glad that we were going to have a party and the bathroom and floor was super clean:) N. decided to brush his hair and get it really wet...
We also had an Easter egg hunt with Oma and Opa the week after at the family dinner, but had it indoors due to rain. Oma has pictures so I'll post those when I get them:)
