Finally got some frames hung up in N.'s room...
I love going to the library--I have loved it as long as I can remember...I was a little worried about moving to a smaller town-I've been spoiled with the Dallas library and the many books and services they offer...so when we pull up to our new library for the first time and see a metal building attached to the fire station, I was even more skeptical and worried, but I have to say I was happily surprised. It may be small, but there are lots of books and magazines. The two librarians were so sweet and helpful, and they have an awesome kids play area with puzzles, blocks, lincoln logs, and all kinds of toys--n. was in heaven and I had to drag him out of there after two hours. I know I'll miss having an online account where I can search for books, renew, and put books on hold, but I'm excited for the small town feel of this library! Here's N. with the lego circus train he put together... There are many 80's features in our house...S. told me that I could get new drawer pulls for the kitchen to help modernize the cabinets. I was really surprised he let me go pick out new ones--they get kind of pricey, but I have to say I love them. Here's a pic of the old one and the new one(now if only I could get rid of the curvy bottom part of the cabinetry, but I'm pretty sure that's out of the question unless we get new cabinets:)...
A pic from the day we moved in...my dad always chooses the most random spot to take a little cat nap, and always gets disturbed by the two munchkins!
S. got his cast off about a week ago...he is now in a walking boot, but not quite walking yet. The doctor said over the next few weeks, he should slowly try to put a little bit of weight on it, but if it hurts, to back off, because the bone still needs a time to heal. They said the reason they go ahead and take the cast off is really to get all the muscles and tendons in the leg and foot back moving again, so when the bone is healed in a few more weeks, he'll be ready to walk. We're trying to be patient, but are real anxious to get him back to normal again. He is driving himself to work now though, so that's been a relief for me!!!
I went to Ikea this past week, while Oma watched N. It was fun to finally go to Ikea and be able to shop for our house--I ended up with some bar stools, a desk, and lots and lots of picture frames. I'm excited to slowly decorate our house and add little bits of my style to it. I want to do a gallery of frames similar to this in our entryway...
Well, I guess that's it for now!

I LOVE that wall of frames. I'll have to try that someday! Congratulations on moving into your new house!
