our crazy life...

So the past few weeks have been a whirlwind...

We moved into our new house with the help of lots of family and friends since both of us were out of commission(pregnant and broken foot).  It's been a bit frustrating to be so dependent on others, but we are truly grateful for all the help of our family and friends.

I've been busy unpacking, trying to make our new house a home, taking care of a crazy toddler, and driving S. back and forth from work everyday.  There are so many little things I want to do to improve the house, but I feel like I'm running on a bit of a time crunch, since the baby will be here before you know it and the fact I have no clue what I'm doing.  We have done a few little things-we are in the process of changing all the drawer pulls on the kitchen cabinets to make them look more modern, and S.'s mom took down all the heavy, dated drapes(thank you soooo much).  I'm also stressing about the delivery of this little baby.  I have chosen to deliver at a birthing center, and I'm excited about that, but I'm nervous about the unknown of when and how my delivery will go this time.  I also have no clue how I'm going to take care of two kids.  I feel like I'm barely keeping up with one as it is.

S. is slowly recovering from his broken foot and surgery.   It's hard to believe it's almost been 7 weeks since it happened.  Thursday, we go in to take off the cast, get x-rays, and see if it's healing.  Hopefully, he'll come home without a cast and in a walking boot.  We don't really know what happens from there, but we know it'll be slow going until he can truly walk on it again.  At least he's been getting around pretty good with his scooter and has been able to go to work.

N. is loving running around the new house both inside and out.  He still wants to be in the same room as me--I guess he's getting used to all the space and won't play outside in the backyard by himself, but I'm sure that will change too.  He loves his new room and shows anybody that comes over his new room and twin bed(only a mattress on the floor with new car sheets).  He loves watching the garage door open and close.  He is slowly adjusting to a new church and nursery, but still misses his friends and his "old church" as he refers to it.  Right now, we're working on getting him to stay in his bed at night--it's been an ongoing problem for months that he comes in our room and wants to be tucked in again.  It's only gotten worse, and I can't function being woke up all night.  The past 2 nights, I've just walked him to his room and had him tuck himself in.  He was reluctant at first, but now can tuck himself in, so soon I'll change it too him walking himself back to bed and me not having to get up...so hopefully soon he won't be coming in our room anymore.

Anyways, I'll try to post pictures of our new house soon...
