N. lately...

  • learned how to pedal his tricycle yesterday(I finally took him outside in the parking garage b/c learning how to pedal doesn't work on carpet too well); he was so proud of himself; he kept saying so excitedly "N., do it."
  • been talking much more; repeating almost anything you say; putting more words together into short phrases and sentences; phrase he says all the time is "that works" for just about anything from when I give him a snack he likes to when we're building a train track or puzzles, or when we pick out his clothes, etc...
  • loves saying hi to the baby in my belly; asked the other Sunday if the baby was going to church with us; we've talked to him about how he's going to be a big brother and how the baby is a boy and his response is "it's a N.", so we've tried to explain to him that it will be another little boy with a different name--when S. asked him what we should name the baby he 1st said N. and then said "red."  I'm sorry to break it to you, N., but this baby is not being named red!
  • is in a phase when he doesn't listen and do what you ask him to do, or if you ask him to stop, he just looks at you while continuing to do it
  • wants and eats a waffle just about every morning for breakfast with cream cheese, a little bit of powdered sugar and syrup, fruit, and milk
  • loves going to nursery at church and seeing his friends
  • loves running errands with me most of the time and will tell you what we have bought where--especially when it comes to fruit...this week he'll tell you his berries came from sprouts and his grapes came from Kroger every time he eats them
  • still obsessed with trains and puzzles
the snow and ice last month...we have no yard, so yes we play on top of the parking garage(and one pic from 4 years ago playing on a similiar parking garage-(I wrote j heart s in the snow)...maybe next year we'll have a house:)
Fun train building with momma's help and lots of new trains from S's uncle for Christmas...

  1. I've known a couple of "Reds" but never a "Calf-rope." That's what N's dad wanted to name his little brother.
