Just some of my randomness...

*We hopefully will be buying our first house in the next few months.  We have been looking on the internet for quite a while, but finally decided it's about time to officially look.  We met with a realtor on Saturday just to get to know her and let her know what we are looking for, and next Saturday, she's taking us out for the day to look at houses and scope out areas.  Right now the search is focused on Richardson and Sunnyvale.  I'm sure I'll have more to post on that as time goes on.
*I made some delicious oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies for treats tonight--sooo yummy!  I found the recipe here.
*I bought this quilt coverlet at Target a month or so ago for 75% off-only $20.  I love the gray and yellow combination, and it will still work with our cream sheets and bed skirt that we love.  The shams did not come with it and cost more a piece than the coverlet, so I'm going to try to sew some shams--maybe it'll look cute in our future house:)
*I love getting new make-up, but don't buy it very often at all--The other day, I bought new eye shadow, concealer, and mascara and was so excited the next day to use it.  It just adds a little more excitement to getting ready in the morning:)
*So, I decided to get new crib bedding for this baby, even though, I told S. when I bought N.'s that I would use it for each kid, but after almost 3 years, I think I'm sick of it.  I found this crib bedding(below) and had at first planned on sewing a crib skirt and sheet to go with this theme(there's really no need for a bumper and comforter), but after hours of searching the internet for the right fabrics, and finding a good deal on just the bed skirt and sheet, I decided it would be cheaper and much less work to buy it, so I now have the crib skirt and sheet as seen below, and plan on buying an extra plain blue or white sheet from Ross to go with it.  I do need to figure out some sort of wall decor, so we'll see, and I can't really put the nursery together until we move--our lease is up June 3rd and the baby's due the end of June, so maybe the nursery will be ready by then.
*Oh, and if anybody knows the way to get a toddler to stay in his bed/room at night, that would be lovely.  I've been interrupted over ten times while writing this post, by a little boy who wants to be tucked in again, or who wants a drink and diaper change, etc. This little phase has been going on for months now--that I can't really call it a little phase anymore...and he's out again...
*Anyways, that's all for now...

  1. Love all the new stuff! The bed spread and baby bedding are so cute! You have such great taste!
As far as N getting out, I just ordered a toddler clock for Mannix on Amazon that has a bunny awake and asleep. I'll let you know how it works, I hope it keeps him quiet in the mornings, but it might work to keep N in his room having a visual that it's night time.
Good luck with the house hunt!! Keep us updated!
