Christmas cookies

I'm in charge of the playgroup at our church.  It's just a once a month thing, but I decided to be ambitious this month and have the kids decorate sugar cookies.  N. and I spent yesterday making the dough, and rolling out lots of cookies.  N. helped me every step of the way.  He dumped every ingredient in, held on to the mixer, and stirred.  His favorite part was sifting the dry ingredients--it had a little crank on it, and he wanted to do it over and over--needless to say, our flour was very sifted.  This morning we met up at the church to decorate.  All the kids had lots of fun, so it was a success, and I still have cookies left over, so we had plenty to go around!  I love Christmas time and my little helper in the kitchen!
