Last year it was us saying goodbye to our family, friends, and our home to move to nyc for a total new adventure. Now it's reversed, some good friends just left today to do the same thing. As we were saying our good-byes, she was in tears, which made me break down in tears, and just made me think about all the emotions I felt last year as we were leaving and I knew by the look in her face, she felt the same. It was such an overwhelming move, but one that I now look back at with a lot of fond memories.
She is such a good friend and I will miss her dearly, but I know that she's one of those life-long friends--someone who I'll be in touch with forever, and someday in the future we'll meet again, and it will just be like old times. She's just one of those people with a big heart who's so kind and a true friend. I only hope that I can be that kind of person too. I miss you already, Mel.
That's sweet and well said!!!
ReplyDeleteIs she coming to NY? If so, I'll keep my eyes out for her.
ReplyDeleteYeah--they'll be living in Mercer where we were. You may have already seen them on Sunday:) She has a sweet little girl who's almost 2.
