In honor of our last day in NYC(a few weeks ago, I'm playing catch-up), N. and I wore our I heart NY shirts. We spent the day packing up our whole apartment, getting rid of stuff we didn't need(they had donation bins downstairs as part of their "green apple move-out"), cleaning, visiting with friends, and of course eating. I had told S. earlier in the week that I had to try one more cupcake bakery before we left, and I was so surprised and happy when a friend dropped by the best cupcakes ever from Billy's Bakery. They were so delicious. I only wish I would have discovered them sooner, but maybe not, because I would have eaten too many:) We had Katz's Deli(supposedly the best in the city and has been around since 1888) for dinner. Honestly the meal was a little disappointing and way overpriced. I only ate a small hamburger, so on our way home we stopped at 5 Guys to have some french fries. We ordered a large to share, and they gave us so many fries that we all three ate until we couldn't eat any more and there we're still more left. We spent the evening in an empty apartment that reminded us of our first night in NYC 9 months earlier, but with totally different feelings. The first night, we felt so far away from home and thought how the heck are we going to live here. The last night we felt like we were leaving our home. We definitely already miss it--it's just such a completely different lifestyle. I find myself comparing everything here in Texas to how it was in NYC. To me, life seemed so much more simple up there. Anyways I'm rambling:) Let's just end with this: I heart NY.
Oh I am so glad you liked them!!!
