Some funny things N. has said lately:
At dinner the other night(S. was not home yet), I said I love my two boys, and N. quickly corrected me and said, "Mom you love your three boys, me, P. and Daddy."
Coming home from church, N. told me they had marshmallows for snack, and then said, "Mom, marshmallows make me happy."
Wrestling with daddy, he said with such a distressed voice, "Daddy, I suck(actually meaning stuck)." I couldn't stop laughing.
N. loves school, always talks about how much fun it is, and is always singing songs from school. At school, they have a letter of the week. He is always so excited for the new letter and then for his teacher to send home the letter worksheets and new song(today as I picked him up, he immediately opens his backpack and starts pulling out papers until he finds the song). He is noticing letters everywhere and is very observant. He has been so sweet the last few days with P. and is always telling him he loves him. He loves giving P. toys and is more interested in P. since lately P is interacting more and actually holding toys. He rarely takes naps, but the past few days has done well staying in his room for quiet time and reads books. He loves being a helper and really likes helping me clean the bathrooms--let's hope that continues, but I doubt it. He's a sweet boy, and I love our little conversations and how well he is speaking and interacting with other kids and adults.
P. is 4 months old now--definitely becoming a chunky monkey and has bigger thighs than N. ever had. He went to the Dr. today, and he weighs 15 1/2 lbs (65%) and is 27 inches long (95%), but has a tiny head(15%). He smiles all the time and will give you the occasional laugh. He is very good at tummy-time and has rolled himself over from his tummy to his back a few times. He loves looking in the mirror and has just started holding toys and loves putting them in his mouth. He has started sucking his thumb. About a month ago, we noticed his head shape wasn't looking quite right, so we took him into the doctor. He has a condition called torticollis which basically is a tight neck muscle on one side that makes it harder for him to turn his head that way and has made is head flat on one side. We've had an occupational therapist come a few times to show us stretches and techniques to make it better. His head is looking much better, so hopefully we won't have to shape it with a helmet. Anyways, I love him.
