N.

  •  has become more excited about the baby--yesterday he told me that he was going to share his bed with the baby, and I told him that he was going to get a new big boy bed, and he was really excited and then told me that he wanted a bed with a ladder--it took me a minute to get what he was saying, but I realized he wants a bunk bed due to the recent perusal of pottery barn and land of nod magazines.  He then got the magazine and showed me which one he wanted and told me that he'll sleep on the top and the baby will sleep on the bottom--just wait a few more years, N.  Anyways, it was so cute!  On the way home yesterday instead of saying "it's n.'s house, he said "it's baby's house."  The other day, N. came up to me and told me "baby go down momma's pants and out momma's toes"--it made me laugh, but I have no clue where he got that idea from.  And just one more random thing about N. and the baby--he points to our chairs at dinner and says whose chair is whose--well, there's one extra chair, and he said that it was the baby's chair.  I'm excited and nervous to see how he'll react when the baby actually gets here, but at least for now, he seems excited.
  • becoming Mr. Independent and informs me of this all the time, by his new phrase, "N. do it all by myself," just a few examples: wants to fill up his water cup every time it needs to be refilled, insists on opening, shutting, and locking the car doors, turning on/off lights, always has to open the house door--if we do it, he shuts it again, and then opens it, etc
  • our dentist has informed me that he needs to get rid of his pacis--I can't decide if I should do it now before the baby or wait until after...I'm really afraid that he'll give up his naps without them, and right now his naps are my sanity:)
  • is in a very fun phase(sarcasm), where he likes to hit, push, and pinch--only to me and S., he's a sweetheart to other kids, but it's driving me crazy...
Pics are from the museum of nature and science--n. had a blast!
