No HGTV

Last week, when we got back home, we sat down to relax and watch TV.  Much to my surprise, as we're flipping through channels, we can't find HGTV.  No other channels have changed, except that HGTV has been replaced by the National Geographic channel.  HGTV is one of the few channels I ever watch--I was pretty mad.  We thought maybe it was a fluke or just a mistake, so S. sent the following service request through the school's cable provider:

 

"Although not yet reflected on this website, HGTV (channel 63) seems to have been replaced by National Geographic Channel. Is this merely a decision that has been made regarding which channels will be provided, or is this a mistake (perhaps due to a channel number reassignment by the company providing the channels to NYU)? If the latter, please advise. If the former, I'd like to add my name to the list of those people requesting that you bring back HGTV."

They responded back with this(not to helpful or insightful to why it has changed):
"HGTV CHANNEL IS UNAVAILABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
THANK YOU
NYU CAMPUS CABLE"
 

So, maybe, just maybe, we'll get HGTV back, but not likely.
